India vice-captain Mahendra Dhoni and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh have both been declared fit ahead of the Test series against South Africa which starts next week.
Wicketkeeper Dhoni, who is also India’s limited overs captain, suffered a finger strain after playing in all the matches contested on their recent tour of Australia.
Harbhajan had been suffering a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India also confirmed that 19-year-old Piyush Chawla will join the 14-man squad as the third specialist spinner.
The inclusion of Chawla comes after left-armer Murali Kartik suffered an ankle injury during a domestic tournament.
The first game in the three-Test series begins in Chennai on Wednesday.
